Sensible words..Worth to be valued !!

I received a mail recently which had the following words. Read them and feel them. You will be able to relate and realise and analyse who we have been all these days and what we have been doing with ourselves and importantly to others ! Read on:

A New Ending

No one can go back and make a brand new start. Anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.

There isn't promise of days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but can promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears,
and light for the way.

Disappointments are like road bumps, they slow you down a bit but you enjoy the smooth road afterwards. Don't stay on the bumps too long.

Move on! When you feel down because you didn't get what you want, just sit tight, and be happy.

There's a purpose to life's events, to teach you how to laugh more or not to cry too hard. You can't make someone love you, all you can do is be
someone who can be loved, and the rest is up to the person to realize your worth.

The last few lines are really genuine and very sensible!:
It's better to lose your pride to the one you love, than to lose the one you love because of pride. We spend too much time looking for the right
person to love or finding fault with those we already love, when instead we should be perfecting the love we give.

Longing for your warmth..

In life, we feel so happy to be with only a select few and I have my own small world in that aspect-A few close friends. I wanted to write completely about my two very very close-to-heart friends - Janani and Aarthee. If you want,you can call this post a testimonial to these two friends of mine.
Whoever may come in my life as friends,no one can replace you both de. Never ever !

My precious friends in life..I always feel the direct warmth in your words. U have never been rude to me. U made me realise the real relationship of friendship. U cared and still care so much for me and so do I. U r there to help me whenever I want and so am I,ready to help you. I would never like it if you are formal with me. I value both of you so much. U created sweet memories in the pages of my life and you will continue to stay fresh in my memories as well as my life!! We will be best friends forever and ever, I am sure ! :)
Remember our 11th and 12th standard tuition classes? hehehe.. So innocent kids we were..seriously immature and so much kiddish..! I just love to think of those days. Once we grow up, there comes this ego,pride,ignoring others n such mentalities. I hate these things too. I can't help it as I grow up. But whatever comes in life, U will remain close to my heart !!
Yeah,now back to tuition classes..remember the whole lot of childish looty? ;) Walking into the railway station, the train comes and janani says 'Namma train vandhurtthu de', and I say(read as 'mokkapottufy' :P ) 'Arivujeevi..Adhu namma train illa, Govt train' :P .Same dialogues the next day too,but this time Aarthee uses my Govt dialogue, and I interrupt saying 'Adhu Govt train illa de..Railways-oda train!! ' - lol ..Feelin so kiddish to think of those sweet days.A silent tear flows down my cheeks too.Where has all this kiddishness gone? Have I lost it or Are my present surroundings making me lose it? College isn't fine without you in it de.. Missing you both so much..Missing those days when we used to walk back to station slowly from Pallavaram after writing our tests at tuition in the worsttt way we could ! :P (Aarthee being an exception here ;) )
Those early morning classes when we used to cycle to the station as early as at 5.15 AM on those dark roads with just sodium vapour lamps to greet us on our way.. Great fun it was de.. Am missing those days too badly.. !! Wish I could get them back !
Idiyo,mazhaiyo,puyalo edhu vandhaalum, the trio will go to tuition celebrating it! :P hehehe..Heavy rains lashing and the thrill that we had in calling up the tuition centre from the railway station to inform our absence and alas,they won't believe that its raining and say 'Moonu kuttichathaan-um test-ku vandhu serunga seekram!' :P Don't remember what exactly happened,but I am sure we enjoyed such kiddy things so much.
Another unforgettable incident,it was getting late for Physics class and three of us were thinking if we really need to go. And I say,'Polaam de..chumma atleast polaam' and after a while we start to railway station still discussing if we need to go definitely and I keep on insisting that we must go.Atlast we reach Pallavaram station,climb a few steps and suddenly both of u hear a voice,'Hey bore adikum de..Veetuku polaam vaa' and that voice is mine ! :P We might have had those mischievous moments,but still we were serious that we should study and this seriousness is attributed to Aarthee ;-)
Janani-a kalaasaadha naal-ae ennoda diary-la irukaadhu..and thats how we made it to become the best buddies..and she still calls me buddy today..(Naan kannadi potriken nu buddy nu solli kindal panriya de dog?!! :X :P ) ..The reason for me to smile always..Not even a second passes without fun when I am with you!Used to argue and fight so much with her initially and never expected,we became close friends and we will never part.I love you so much jannu! :)
Aarthee,nevertheless,my boost for self-confidence..Sincere and motivates me also to be so..A tonic to keep my mind and soul ongoing..Never gets angry wit me..and she laughs for all my kutti kutti jokes..Adhula kooda u give me semma encouragement de.. ;) Studied together right from Kg classes,lost touch in between during 6th n 7th stds..but time bonded us back again.Thats the power of friendship! I respect our bonding so much aarthee! :)
I have loads and loads to talk about you both. But all I can say again and again is I VALUE YOU SO MUCH IN LIFE !
I met you in life and I realised what is real friendship !! A true friend can identify your tear even while you are walking in the rain.. I am sure you both are really really capable of doing that.. U r my gems in life..Will never forget u..Even if find a slight disturbance in my face, u can sense it immediately..Thats a real friend..U both are real true friends..I can tell this anywhere, am not exaggerating..The only thing is that I do not know to express my heart's feelings directly and properly..So I found a way to express my care and affection towards to you both, using my blog.
I cry everyday,and long everyday to get back to those lovely days. I could be what I am,when I am with you. Never ever needed to mask feelings. Be frank,be open and U never ever mistake me or mind me for being straight-forward..U r my true friends..I value you both so much. I know you will be with me forever in life and so will I ! Our bonding can never be broken by anything..ANYTHING!!
Come what may,I will be your friend forever! WE WON'T CHANGE !! :-)

Lecture on 'Importance of Sri Vishnu Sahasranamam'

I am not going to start this post with any puzzle/question/anagram/blah blah!Jumping into the stream straight..

I attended a lecture at a place near my residence.It was on the topic 'Importance of SriVishnu Sahasranamam' and the lecture was by Sri VenkataKrishna Swami. I would like to put down here,some points that I picked up from the lecture.

The lecture started with anecdotes from mythology as to how Bhoomi Devi came to the Earth as 'Sri Andal Nachiyar' in order to spread knowledge to people on how the reciting of God's Thirunamam can lead a human to the path of goodwill and finally Moksha.

Lord's Thirunamam (His name) is more powerful than his real presence.His Thirunamam saves us in all times of distress.So by just uttering his name,all our paapams are crushed to dust.
For example,We use names of higher authorities when we need recommendations at various places.Though that particular person is not present near you,you still make use of their name to take help.
When a mere human's name has got such powers,then what will be the power of Lord's name?
So, "Avan dhooratthil irundhaalum,idhu kittanindru udhavum.." ! It means 'Even if Lord is not near us,His Thirunamam helps us when in need'.Hence,a human being gets benefitted by uttering Lord's names throughout his/her life.

The lecture also enlightened us on incidents from the epic Mahabharatha.In the epic,after the Bharatha war,Bheeshma lies in his arrow bed before death and Yudhishtira approaches him for listening to his final words on Dharma.This is called 'Anushaasana Parvam' in The Mahabharatha.This section is said to be the longest one.Bheeshma explains about the various virtues of life and the Dharmas of life.At the end,Yudhishtira tells Bheeshma "Sir,You spoke innumerable virtues.It seemed like I understood them at the time you said it.But now,I cannot properly recollect.So kindly tell me the complete gist of all Dharmas,putting it in a very simple way and easy to remember.." For this question,Bheeshma pointed out at Lord Krishna and said "He is the essence of all Dharmas in the world".Uttering His names is a great virtue in life.On hearing this,Goddess Parvathi asks to Lord Shiva "Isn't there one simple,small name to utter instead of remembering so many of these names of the Lord".This is when Lord Shiva answers,

Eswara Uvaacha:
Sri rama rama ramethi,rame raame manorame!
Sahasranama thatthulyam, rama naama varaanane!!

One word-The Thirunamam of Lord Rama is enough to get the benefit of uttering all the names of the God.This anecdote also proves that all Gods,be it Lord Krishna or Lord Rama are one and same.

Each and every name used in Sri Vishnu Sahasranamam has its own meaning and value.
Three people who have written the saaram or essence for the Sahasranamam are
Sri Adisankara Bhagavathpaadhar
Sri Paramaachariyar (Descendant of Sri Ramanujar)
Sri Maadhvachariyar

All three have dealt with their works in different perspectives.The explanations of all the three are completely acceptable,they only depend on how the individual understanding and perceiving has been done.While Sri Adisankara and Sri Madhvachariyar have talked about the 'Paratthvam' (Glories) in explaining the meanings for The Lord's Thirunamams, Sri Paramachariyar has explained the 'Shourathvam'(Simplicity) of Lord with his names.

For example, there comes a line in Sri Vishnu Sahasranamam which says

"Vijithaathma Vijaeyaathma sathkeerthishchinna samsaya ha!" (2nd line of 66th sloka)

Sri Venkatakrishna Swami enlightened us on how the meanings provided by the Aachariyas mentioned above differ,yet they are so true and divine.

Take the word "Vijithaathma".
Sri Adisankara says "Vijith - Win over, Aathma- His own mind".So, this Thirunamam of the Lord says that He has won over his own mind"(controlled his mind which is the most distracting aspect of an ordinary human.It can travel anywhere at anytime.)
Sri Madhvaachariyar says "Vijith-Win over,Aathma- Jeevaathmas, the people on earth".So,this Thirunamam says that Lord has won over the people on earth since he is the one who created them".
But Sri Paramachariyar says "Lord has been won over by his devotees (the 'Aathmas' here)".So,Lord gives ears to everyone who follows him and helps them without hesitation.

Likewise,the lecture also accentuated on the perception of meanings of other three words in the same line.Finally it was concluded saying that 'When only four words in the Sahasranamam have so much meaning,value and power , reciting it entirely will shower us with great virtues and benefits'.Moreover it gives peace to heart.It gives happiness to the heart.

The lecture provided us with many more mythological,spiritual facts.As a true lover of spirituality, I understood the need for the recital of God's Thirunamam which can be done by reciting Sri Vishnu Sahasranamam.
